Xoloverse 2025: A Day of Freelancing Inspiration, Connection, and Growth

On October 8th, we hosted our very first Xoloverse online summit for freelancers, and what an incredible day it was! Nearly 900 freelancers, founders, and digital nomads from across the world joined us live to learn, connect, and celebrate the future of solopreneurship together.

The event was packed with insights, inspiration, and a healthy dose of fun, from thought-provoking keynotes and practical workshops to games, giveaways, and lively Q&A sessions that kept the chat buzzing all day.

The Power of the Solopreneur Spirit

Xoloverse opened with Mikko Teerenhovi, CEO of Xolo, who reminded us why Xolo exists in the first place: to make running a solo business simpler, smarter, and more empowering. As Xolo turns 10 years old, this event was not just a celebration of our journey, but of the thousands of freelancers who’ve trusted us along theirs.

From Finances to Freedom

Our speakers brought a wealth of experience to the (virtual) stage.

• Naomi Feltham from Wise shared practical tips on how freelancers can use business banking tools to simplify their finances and take control of their cash flow.
  
  
• Filip Fucic of Fearless Pricing showed us that pricing isn’t just about numbers - it’s about confidence, positioning, and knowing your worth.
  
  
• Ariadna Julià Brunet, Xolo’s own accounting expert, helped demystify expenses and taxes for freelancers in Spain, making compliance feel a lot less scary.
  
  
• Uku Lember from Lightyear closed the day with a powerful session on how entrepreneurs can invest smartly to secure and grow their company’s cash - a topic that resonated strongly with our audience.
  
  

From Gig Workers to Global Entrepreneurs

One of the day’s most engaging sessions was our panel discussion: From Gig Worker to Xolopreneurship.
Moderated by Cirkeline Ask, our wonderful host, it featured:

• Liina Vahtras, Managing Director at Estonia’s e-Residency Programme,
  
  
• Gonçalo Hall, CEO of NomadX, and
  
  
• Maya Middlemiss, Founder of Remote Work Spain.
  
  

Together, they explored how freelancing has evolved from side hustles and gig work into a sustainable, global lifestyle - powered by digital tools, borderless business structures, and a shared mindset of independence.

Engagement That Broke Records

The energy in the chat was amazing!
Hundreds of participants joined the games, shared ideas, and filled our Q&A sessions with smart, thoughtful questions. Whether it was about taxes, pricing, or mindset - the engagement proved one thing: the solopreneur community is alive, growing, and eager to learn.

A Celebration, and a Beginning

As Mikko said during his opening talk, “Xolo is more than a platform. It’s a movement.”
And Xoloverse showed exactly that.
