As digital systems grow more complex, and more vulnerable, the need for next-generation cybersecurity has never been greater. From AI-driven attacks to the looming threat of quantum computing, today’s security models are being pushed to their limits.
That’s where Qloud Technologies comes in.
Named e-Revolutionaries Startup of the Year, Qloud Technologies is redefining what cybersecurity looks like in a post-quantum, Web 3.0 world. Through deep-tech research, decentralized architectures, and quantum-resistant frameworks, the Estonia-based company is building the foundations for a safer digital future.
We spoke with the Qloud Technologies team about their journey, their breakthrough technology, and what this recognition means for their mission.
For those just discovering Qloud Technologies, can you give us a brief overview of your startup and the problem you set out to solve?
Qloud Technologies: Qloud Technologies is an Estonia-based R&D company pioneering next-generation Web 3.0 and cybersecurity solutions.
Our mission is to solve one of the world’s most urgent problems: how to secure digital infrastructure in an era where AI-driven threats and future quantum computers can break today’s security models.
We have developed a quantum-resistant, decentralized, and intelligence-driven cybersecurity framework called Zero Vulnerability Computing that protects digital identities, critical infrastructure, and high-value data.
We are also one of the few SMEs actively contributing to Horizon Europe and H2020, participating in 45+ projects with 250+ European partners, helping shape the future of secure digital ecosystems globally.
We are a very active contender in participating in innovative solution development in diverse verticals ranging from AI, ML, Mobility and Healthcare.
What inspired the creation of Qloud Technologies, and what key moments shaped your early journey?
Qloud Technologies: Qloud Technologies was born from a realization: Traditional cybersecurity was no longer enough. With rising cyberattacks, increasing dependency on cloud systems, and the rapid advancement of quantum computing, a new kind of security architecture was needed — one that is proactive, decentralized, and future-proof.
Key early moments that shaped our journey include:
- Our research team's work with European partners during H2020 programs.
- The development of our proprietary Zero-Vulnerability Computing (ZVC) model.
- Early adoption of our security frameworks by European innovators, validating the importance of quantum-resistant infrastructure.
These milestones created the foundation for the Qloud ecosystem.
Who is behind Qloud? Tell us more about your founding team and what makes your team dynamic unique.
Qloud Technologies:
- Dr. Fazal Raheman – Inventor of ZVC, research scientist & serial inventor. He holds dozens of global patents and leads Qloud’s deep-tech research and innovation efforts.
- Tejas Bhagat – Chief Product Officer. Co-founder, blockchain enthusiast, deep-tech and Web3 ecosystem architect. He drives product strategy, lab-to-market value creation, and helps translate research into deployable solutions.
- David Bell – CEO. Corporate strategist, with expertise in building and managing crypto / blockchain networks. He leads executive oversight, business strategy, and ensures Qloud’s vision is aligned with market and global needs.
What Makes Our Team Dynamic Unique:
1. Deep-tech + business blend
- With Dr. Fazal and Tejas, we have a team grounded in scientific research, advanced cryptography, and decentralized architecture (ZVC, Web3, DLT). That brings strong technical credibility.
- Combined with David’s strategic and business acumen, we ensure the research isn’t just academic — it’s shaped into real-world, scalable products and approaches.
2. Research-driven innovation with real outputs
- Qloud has over 38 patents and multiple peer-reviewed publications.
- This demonstrates the team’s capacity not just to ideate, but to invent — and protect — new technologies.
3. Cross-disciplinary and future-oriented approach
- We bridge AI, blockchain / DLT, cybersecurity, Web 3.0, and quantum-resistant infrastructure. That wide expertise lets us tackle next-generation problems — not just incremental improvements.
- The synergy between research (R&D), product development, and strategic business enables us to move from concept -> prototype -> real deployment.
4. Commitment to long-term, large-scale impact
- With participation in dozens of European grant projects and collaborations with many partners across the EU, our team is used to building at scale, working across networks and disciplines.
- This indicates not a typical startup “move fast, pivot quick” mindset, but a deliberate, mission-oriented vision to build the infrastructure for the future.
What product or solution does Qloud Technologies offer, and how is it different from existing alternatives on the market?
Qloud Technologies: Our flagship innovation is ZVC – Zero-Vulnerability Computing, a next-generation cybersecurity architecture designed to:
- resist quantum-level attacks,
- eliminate common exploit surfaces,
- protect identity and data at the protocol level,
- and integrate seamlessly with decentralized Web 3.0 infrastructure.
What makes Qloud different:
- Quantum readiness: our frameworks are built for the post-quantum era.
- Decentralized security approach: removing single-point-of-failure seen in traditional cloud systems.
- AI-powered threat prediction: enabling proactive security, not reactive patching.
- Research-driven validation: our technology has been shaped through Horizon Europe and H2020 collaborations.
Can you share a concrete example or success story that shows how users or clients have benefited from your technology?
Qloud Technologies: The ZVC product was tested in a controlled lab environment provided by Europe’s largest hardware testing facility, IMEC, Belgium under a grant program. This led to development of a hardware wallet prototype which is being adopted by a DeFi start up from Europe and is being pursued actively the company and is adding value to their product offerings.
