Lauri Kruuda runs his own small craft beer company in Estonia called Veski Käsitööõlu. He’d just brewed a brand-new beer and needed a fresh label for the can.
The beer was fermenting and time was of the essence. Lauri had already devised a concept for the character: Lahe Säga––this means both "cool catfish" and "cool dude" in Estonian. But Veski needed someone to bring this concept to life, and fast! Enter Robert Nutt, a web developer using Xolo with a passion for design. Xolo connected Robert and Lauri in record time.

Lahe Säga’s label design was conceptualized, but time was ticking on the journey from idea to printed label. While the new beer was reaching the end of its fermentation process, Lauri discovered Robert through Xolo.

Lauri found the collaboration with Robert to be awesome, adding that there were a lot of exchanges between them both.
“First version, then discussion and suggestions, then second version. The conversation continued effortlessly.” Veski exclaimed his gratitude for the strong communication.
Asking Lauri what exceeded his expectations over this collaboration, he shared that “[Robert] understood the vision and added new, cool ideas from his side.” For Lauri, this was the cherry on the top.
“The project was completed on time and within budget. There were some periods where there was silence (also from my side), but the final result was achieved.”
Lauri will use Xolo again.
