LeapIN is glad to announce that Allan Martinson, a tech executive, entrepreneur and investor with a career spanning 28 years, will join our company as our new CEO.

Allan has been behind many successful tech and media companies, including Baltic news agency BNS, online media company Delfi, IT holding MicroLink, and the region’s pioneering venture capital company MTVP, to name a few. His previous position before joining LeapIN was as COO of Starship Technologies, the company developing revolutionary self-driving delivery robots. He has been living and building businesses in Estonia, across the Baltic states, US, UK, Germany, Ukraine, and Russia.

“As a former venture capitalist, I’m looking at companies from two angles: whether they address a large business opportunity, and whether they have a great team. LeapIN has both,” said Martinson. “There are 50 million independent professionals in the EU and US alone, and the emergence of independent work is one of the most tectonic changes in the economy. LeapIN’s team has built a solid foundation on this opportunity, and it’s one of the fastest-growing SaaS businesses originating from Estonia with a very loyal client base.”

LeapIN’s current CEO Erik Mell will continue as the company’s new COO. He said of Martinson’s appointment — “Our goals for the coming years are to significantly increase our customer base and retain a high level of service quality. Allan joining our team is the next step for LeapIN in moving toward these goals. I’m delighted to have him onboard!”
