Introducing the e-Residency Company List: What's in it for you?

If you're a Xolo Leap user, you're well aware of the numerous benefits of being a registered e-resident of Estonia.

And now, you can add one more to the list! The team that runs the e-Residency programme has recently created a directory of e-Residency companies on their website. Current e-residents are invited to create their own profile, which is published on the official e-residency website:

The e-Residency Company profile feature enables e-residents to publish their Estonian company's profile on the e-Residency website. Its aim is to provide a secure platform that contains information on verified e-resident companies and also to give e-residents a chance to highlight their products and services in order to find new customers and business partners.

If you're a Xolo Leap user (or you want to become one), here are two very different but equally important reasons why you should complete your e-residency company profile:

Reason 1 - Visibility

It goes without saying that for solopreneurs with modest marketing budgets, the opportunity to be featured on a website that attracts thousands of eyeballs per month — for free, no less — is an opportunity simply too good to pass up!

As a featured company in the e-residency directory, you're immediately communicating two very important facts to the thousands of potential customers visiting the site every month:

First, that you're a modern, forward-thinking company who is comfortable adopting new technologies, ideas and ways of doing business.

Second, it confirms that your company has already been thoroughly vetted by the Estonian e-residency committee prior to your application being approved. So simply appearing on the website gives you and your business an instant credibility boost!

Reason 2 - Networking

Let's say you're a software developer in need of a graphic designer. Or a digital marketing agency in need of a Greek translator. Or a cybersecurity consultant looking for a web designer. You could ask around, check out some review sites, maybe do some googling…

… But before you do all that, head to the e-Residency company registry and see if you find any suitable candidates. Not only are these companies pre-vetted (see above), but you'll find a community of like-minded professionals from a myriad of other fields that you can form lasting partnerships with!

IONIA OÜ

A game development company which started as a weekend passion project among friends but has developed into something bigger!

Keep in mind, this feature is only available for companies with valid e-Residency cards (Xolo Leap users). Here are a few tips to keep in mind while you're updating your profile:

  1. Be descriptive: Give a brief overview of your company, your history and the services you offer. Be sure to make a positive first impression by double-checking your text for typos and grammatical errors. If English isn't your first language (or even if it is!), it's well worth it to use an online language assistant like Grammarly to ensure your words are perfect.
  2. Make it attractive: Humans are visual creatures. So keep this in mind when you're creating your company profile. You have the option to upload your company logo, a "hero" background image and a profile picture. Use a free service like Canva to ensure your photos load correctly and present flawlessly!
  3. Ask and you shall receive: Your profile has an entire section for detailed information about what you're looking for — advisors, connections, funding — and the most popular answer of all — new customers! Being explicit about what you're looking for will make it that much more likely that you'll get it.
  4. Mention Xolo: The final section of the profile allows you to name all the service providers you use to run your business — Stripe, LHV, TransferWise, Veriff, and of course, Xolo! We regularly get requests from existing customers to connect them to other businesses that use Xolo. So be sure to namecheck us so you can make contact with your fellow Xolopreneurs!
